In. lb torque wrench

does anyone have an inch lb. torque wrench i can borrow, or at least a ft. lb that can measure 5 ft lbs. mine only goes down to 20lbs, and i only need it once for 5 minutes. the cheapest ive seen so far thats readily accessable to buy is $70.

I have one you can borrow. Your fquick says you are in Wallington which is about 50 min from me (Piscataway). Up to you.

You can get beam style torque wrenches fairly cheaper than a click style torque wrench, maybe you could look into those if you can't find one to borrow. I picked up a ft lb one for like $20-30 from sears and it measures from 0 ft lbs. That was a couple years ago though.

Just go buy one and you'll have it in the tool box for next time. Once you have it, you'll find plenty of uses for it. On the LSx lots of the covers, the intake etc have torque specs below 20ft/lbs so you'll use it. That's what prompted my purchase.

sears makes a nice inch lb torque wrench that ive used for years and still has great calibration and dial/click. no problems. ran me like 60 bones and by far has been a solid ''investment'' (not really and investment but yeah).

borrow a tool once...great....borrow a tool twice and you need to buy it.

just do what i do. lol i go by feel unless its a real critical part, like heads, intake, main caps, connecting rods etc etc... lol im sure it dont have to be perfect. i understand you want it to be as close n accurate as possible, but if its not goin to cause a problem somewhere else just do it by feel. i have one ill mail you, how long would it take to get back? lol
