Bottle question
Please do not turn this into a nonsensical thread.
That being said, how long with a 10# bottle, unwarmed last?

depending on the shot size, i believe 1 minute of 1/4 mile passes would be an average. obviously not from experience, from research

as far as i know yeah. i could have been lied to though. there are quite a number of variables too so go out and find out what your setup does!

a 10lb bottle unwarmed would last 0 passes in anyones car who actually cares about their nitrous kit's performance. A full cold bottle only gives me like 750psi which is way too low. I over-heat my bottle in a bath tub to like 1400psi then wrap it in a blanket that I just took out of the dryer before I head to the track... By the time I get there the bottle is usually around 1000psi. Between passes I keep it warm with a torch (yeah I know...) and I can easily maintain 1000psi even after several runs. I can make 4 passes through an .041 nitrous jet and only use 5.5lbs of nitrous - So thats about 40-45 seconds of use.

Ok well I don't want a bottle blanket cause its a custom painted bottle, so I was looking at alternate solutions. Hence, NANO.

well are you going to be using it all the time? just put a heater on it when you are racing and take it off when you aren't. the bottle brackets will cover some up anyways.

Yea, thats always a possibility. However unless they make a cigarette plug in for em, I don't wanna be wiring in any more ****. I was thinking a hidden nano-ish system somewhere.

yeah you dont want to run your bottle at less than a 1000psi . youll hardly feel the hit and if its a wet kit, itll run wayyyy too rich, since theyre designed to work at 950-1050psi. do u want the bottle to look pretty or make your car go fast?

I torch my bottle very carefully... so carefully that it's probably one of the least effective ways to heat the bottle. I keep the flame moving quickly so the bottle never gets hot to the touch, just keeps warm. I see some guys hold torches to one area of the bottle for what seems like minutes at a time. that's just asking for trouble

Bottle warmer, done deal! I have the dynotune bottle warmer and it works great. No towels, torches or hot water baths. With a 10lb and a 100shot I'd get about 5 or 6 passes. The 150, I got about 3 to 4.
