I have the Storm and I like it a lot. probably not what you're looking for though, my monthly bill is kinda expensive because of the data plan.

I have the Samsung Omnia and its awesome!!!!!! It's a smart phone, so I dont know if you're looking to get that fancy, but I have the entire internet, email, GPS, Windows Mobile including MS Word, Excell, and Powerpoint, and a 5 mp camera... Sweetness if you need to carry an office with you.

Got the same phone, thrown mine, dropped it, walked on it, um lots of other things that I was surprised when it still worked afterwords...
Cheap I think mine was 50 bucks, and will prob last me longer than any other phone.

if you want something tough, waterproof, and useful; check out the verizon boulder gz'one by casio. i threw it pretty hard against my wall the other day and it still works fine. i can use it in the shower too or jump in a pool with no concern. i drop it alot at work on the cement floor and its completely fine. has a pretty handy flashlight and a compass built in. i like it alot.

I've got the Voyager and I love it to death. The only thing you have to worry about is pressure cracking the screen. It freezes up once and awhile, but only if you have a lot of crap on it.

I like my storm, but wish there was better software to cut out teh glitches.
Storm 2 is coming out soon, maybe you should wait a bit? Also, iPhone 3GS....tempting enough to switch to ATT for me...

I'm waiting until my contract is up, then switching to ATT for the iphone. Seems totally worth it to me.

I hear a lot of people recommending the LG Voyager. The Voyager 2 just came out a week or two ago. It's called the enV Touch. I plan on getting one this week myself.
If you don't want a touchscreen I'd suggest the LG enV3 that just came out also. It has a full QWERTY keyboard for texting when flipped open.
I've had an LG enV for over 2 years now and have loved it. No problems whatsoever. I have a friend with the enV2 (which I see someone said they had problems with above) and they love it, no problems at all. And my last 3 or 4 phones have been LG (all flawless), so I prefer to stick with them.
The iPhone is nice an all. It's really the ONLY phone that displays the internet correctly (as we see it on our computer screens). But I refuse to switch to AT&T. Verizon is a much better service provider. I don't need internet on my phone anyway. As long as I can take pics and videos, text easily, make phone calls (of course LOL) and sync with my Camaro's Bluetooth I'm completely satisfied.

I am also looking that the LG enV3 (which they do offer with and without a touch screen - just FYI) after loving my enV. I'm on my second enV, but that's only because I accidentally left my first one in my pocket while swimming in the ocean for 45 mins or so.
