Hit the jackpot at work today
To make a long story short, a huge ziplock back full of old 1960's baseball cards was found in someones trash at work... and you know what they say about other peoples trash, right? What was inside was amazing...
1963 Topps #537 Pete Rose ROOKIE (Book value $500-$1000)
1964 Topps #125 Pete Rose ROOKIE (Book value $125-$250+)
(4)1964 Topps #50 Mickey Mantle (Book value ~$500) (Yes, there were 4 of these in there)
Thats the big ones we found... there was a hellova lot more in there like Roger Maris, Sandy Koufax, Hank Aaron, all around the $50-$125 range, and all but 1 of the Mantle cards are in pretty good shape. There were alot of duplicates too. Roger Maris card is worth ~$50-$100 and there was 5 of them in there.
Also found a $2 bill, not that it matters. Woo.
I <3 my job.

Holy F, I would kill for those! Amazing what people don't know they are throwing away. My dad use to have a huge baseball card collection. Among them were 5 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle Rookie Cards. When he went off to college, his grandmother when in his room and threw them out all his cards, thinking they were "kiddie" toys.

Nice find as I've been collecting BB cards since I was little. The 63 Rose is his true rookie card as the 64 is his second year card although it says rookie on it.
