BOOSTED LQ9 RESULTS & PROBLEMS @ dyno
hey guys, figured i would share my escapade @ the dyno.
my z28 on the dyno got off to a bad start.
1. fuel pressure dropping off after 4k
2. major belt slippage causing only to get about 6 psi of boost. car hits about 4200 gauge hits 7 then drops off to about 5.5psi
stats: pulled to 4500 then let off made 397hp @ rear wheels with fuel pressure dropping off to 30 psi and only half the boost the charger supposed to make (10-12psi)
not too bad, should see about 550-600hp once i fix the fuel problem and belt slippage
& BEST OF ALL....... TRANS BROKE ... right before we took it off dyno.
drove it in .... and then pushed it out. WTF.
SOON AS I GET A ADAPTER FOR MY MEMORY CARD ON MY PHONE I WILL POST UP PICS/VIDS OF DYNO TIME

If you haven't, you will need to pin the crank...I started having issues with my procharged lq9 in my truck at around 15lbs of boost...Like all of the sudden no power steering, then a bunch of clanging...only to discover that the crank pulley walked off the crank.

thanks to all for the compliments,
yes pinned the crank already,
problem is that gear driven charger so it takes a lil more effort to turn it. the serp belt only contacts across the bottom of crank and wraps up about an inch on both sides. so i'm gonna fab a idler on the passenger side in between the tensioner & crank as close to w.p. pulley to try an get more wrap on it.
i'll have the trans back out 2morow so hope my boy has it back to me by mon.
would like top be back on the dyno by friday to see some REAL NUMBERS !!!!

hoping to have the trans back 2morow morn. if so i'll have it back in 2morow night.
i'll probably schedule to have the car finished tuned next week, but it is drivable. just can't foot it, it was only able to be tuned to 4500-5000 grand on the dyno. so i could just cruise it around. might try and take it out over the weekend maybe rt.37 wawa or something.
anybody know what day meet @ circus circus?
