Gumpert Apollo might be the greatest car ever?

http://videos.streetfire.net/video/N...ing_702467.htm

I think so. Forget the 400K price tag, thats the same price as a Porsche Carrera GT, 1/3 the price of an Enzo, and about the same as an LP640. Why am I comparing prices? these companies I just named have been known as the pinnacle of the automotive industry for decades, deep roots in racing, yet this small car company brings out their first model, and is decimating records like a cat in a wet bag.

As we all know the Dodge Viper ACR with the picnic table in the back generated a 7:22 time aroundthe track. the Gumpart narrowly beat it with a time of 7:11!!!
I've said before the radical is the fastest pproduction car around it, and that's true, but certain people threw the flame suit on me saying it's not really, due to the fact its just a race car, no top, and its too low. Now here's a car with a top, fully road legal, and IMO sexy as hell, cause al those vents and angles on the car are for downforce, and to go fast.

here's some times just to give you reference:

7:11.5 Gumpert Apollo Speed Florian Gruber
7:22.1 2009 Dodge Viper SRT-10 ACR
7:24.3 Maserati MC12
7:24.7 Pagani Zonda F Clubsport
7:25.3 Ferrari Enzo Ferrari
7:28.71 Porsche Carrera GT
7:40 Bugatti Veyron 16.4
7:40 Lamborghini Murcielago LP640

Price wise, a ZR1 is more sensible, I'll agree, but when money's no option, I would want an Apollo to sit in my garage over the hyped Vette any day.

And beauty don't make up for performance

I think it's gorgeous, and IMO breaks away from the usual lines you see on supercars. what it lacks in the good lookign department for some sure makes up for popping your eyes out of their sockets aroudn the track. the designer used to be a big wig in the Audi rally racing team, Group B I may add, which was the fastest, and most ferocious era or rally. This guy knows his stuff, and still having some ties wtih Audi, he has created a different road for supercars to take now which is screw fancy lines if they arent going to help you stick to the road.

Looks like Shummie at the wheel. Since the FXX was built around the man, no wonder...

but it's not a production car in any way, nor does anyone have the ability to own one since Ferrari only lets you basically rent it.

It was ruled ineligible due to slick tire, wasn't it?

Some say one of his legs gets longer when a pretty lady walks by...

FXX is a production car. Just because you cant drive them outside of a race track doesnt mean they werent produced in a factory, sold through a dealer, titled and driven.

Some say he has been producing artificial sperm for years, and that they have repeatidly told him to stop.

I believe it has an adjustable ride height. the car is really based to be a racecar, but just meets road regulations.

"Production car" means the car has to be homologated
