Jeep Water Damage
So, after the stuck in a puddle incident on Saturday, I decided I had to pull the carpet out of the Jeep today to let it dry, and also to see how bad the floorpans looked, because they seemed soft in a few places from underneath.
Here you can clearly see the waterline in the carpet.....
First peeling back the carpet in the front passenger footwell:
The entire passenger side floorpan, before getting out the hose:
And after washing and drying.....
By the way....can anyone tell me why my stereo isn't working?
So, it's gonna be more patch panels, or finding cheap floorboards. Then likely gonna be rolling / spraying some sort of bedliner on the floor, than reinstalling the carpet in pieces to allow quick and easy removal.
Good driveway project for November, right?

Those holes let the water run out. Nice.
Karen is smart not getting in that thing.

Nah, the seat mounts are secure and rust free - I checked.

Yea, I've been in some deep stuff before, but this is the first time I've had water inside.
I'm thinking that I'm gonna patch it up as best I can in the next week or so, then apply a liberal coat of rust inhibiting paint to get through the winter. Spray in some Upol in the spring and be all set.
