A strange thought popped into my head, I should buy a third gen
since I've never owned one before. So I starting thinking what would be a cool/fun/different third gen worth owning? Obviously the TTA would be the coolest, but that's a Firebird and I only buy Camaros so it would need to be a Camaro third gen. Hmmm, 1LE, B4C, 82 Indy Pace Car?

Do it! 1LE's are basically the top performance cars but they don't look any different than any other IROC/Z28. How about just picking up a 91/92 and turn it into something custom?

You only buy Camaro's so obviously going fast isn't your thing.....kidding.
I'd say a nice/clean 91-92 Z28 would be the ticket. It'd be a good base to start with. That car would be ripe for a LS1 swap, a trans of your choice and a 12-bolt. You'd be happy with that.

Screw LS1s, everyone and their mother swaps them...
BBC or rotary swap.
I vote a black third gen, heavy tint, black wheels, lowered, and a nasty exhaust tone.

Get a nice 3rd gen vert! I like the IROCs.
I would stay away from the early crossfire or cab'd cars! Look for a 88+ with TPI.

Go for a TPI car! I never thought i'd like third gens but after having one and driving a couple I really do like them even the 6 cyl cars. Very cool cars for the time period and fun to drive since they corner so nice with little modification. Would make a nice daily driver

Wouldn't a TPI/TBI car make as swap easier because of fuel system?

Jeff, buy Bear's GTA and turn it into a Camaro. He isn't using it.
