Bet your ass.
No pricing has been released, but price wise it will be just a few ticks off a Camaro SS or Charger RT.
29,999 for base GT
32,450 for GT luxury.

Variable Valve Timing is something that is pretty common on OHC engines, and now on OHV engines.

3750? wow, the new muscle cars (Challenger, Camaro, and Mustang) are only a few ticks under a fully prepped Crown Vic P-71 @3906
The DOHC is a nice design, but damn is it expensive to do a cams swap on them.
The real advantage the Mustang had over its competitors was it's price and weight. Looks like both are going bye-bye.

with the new V6 they had to give the V8 more power. otherwise the V8 would be kinda pointless

I think Edmunds is wrong. The current Mustang is in the vicinity of 34xx#. I doubt that a new motor would bring up that figure by 300#. If its true, then it lost every advantage it had over the Camaro in driving dynamics. That would be a serious shame.

The S197's were heavier then the sn95's/new edge's and still faster by leaps and bounds...I cant see the addition of the 5.0 making it much heavier. Guess well just have to wait until it comes out. The extra 100 hp will certainly help.

It will help alot, up until recently Mustangs have been fairly slow compared to the competition. And i truely love the 5.0's my buddy had a white procharged 93 gt with a full roadcourse suspension and may not have had much striaght line traction but cornered better then any car i've driven. It had welded sfc, and a full kenny brown coilover suspension kit.

I believe there is a 6 speed tranny also which weighs more and they might go Independent rear on it also!! Also there are 2 more cams which adds 20 or so more lbs and more valves and valve springs. When it comes down to it I can see were the extra weight comes from. Still a Ugly car with very cheap parts. I do not miss either of my Mustangs.

There is no IRS for the Mustang planned untill the next platform.
The 3750 is now apparently a joke of soem sort? Current car is around 3600lbs, so its not that odd to figure it would be 100lbs heaver with a lot more HD parts.
The Mustang's chassis was designed to take no more then 350hp without moddification, hence why the GT500 has a lot more chassis band-aids that help the car stay together.
Mustang does have the 6spd auto and manual trans, as well as several other up to date features.

Why is every one doing IRS??? i mean i get it for track but overall, its more expensive and has a considerable amount of things that can go bad.

Its evolution of cars. IRS offers much better poise and agility, not to mention helps on packaging a vehicle.
IRS isnt just for track, but for ride, comfort, and steering and control ususaly feels better with IRS. You also increase the envelope on what the car can do.
The Mustang GT with track package has shown what you can do to maximized a solid axle set up, but it suffers tons over bumps in the road. The Camaro and Challenger have much better ride as well as better performance. While the Mustang's steering is better, the Camaro SS tends to get better reviews as far as its poise on the track, vs the Mustang.
Mustang will deffinatly turn up the pony car wars, something we havent seen since 87 when the fbodies saw the return of the 350.

I'm sure the motor alone will be like 150# more. Twice as many cams and the heads are a lot bigger too. I'm not sure what Ford did with the 2010 Mustang, but the 2008 was around 3400#. 3750 for a sports car is a bit high considering my comparison before was that a fully police prepped Crown Vic with the light bars, push bumper, sirens, cage, radios, and everything else is 3906#. The civilainized P-71 is around 3750.
I really like a lot of the new technology manufacturers are coming up with for new cars, but damn is it going to be really expensive to mod these cars. I mean, with IRS, just ask any Vette guy how much it cost to put a decent rear in there. Then the DOHC motor is a LOT for a simple cam swap. You're looking at like $5k for the rear, and another $3k for the cam swap.
