Yea thats what I figured, just don't wanna pay for a ticket on the main rail if I can get away with light rail.

Take North east corrider or whatever Nj transit train close to you to Penn station NY. From there take the E train up town which I think will take you right to harlem or you will have to change at 51 st and get on the 4,5, or 6 uptown into Harlem. Very simple!!!

Well right now I am debating either take light rail to Newark Penn and then catch a train to NYC Penn... or taking the Montclair line straight into NYC Penn... IDK

....Jersey kids...... Take the path from Newark Penn to 33rd Street,or take the Morris Essex line (@broad st. Newark) to NY Penn, once your on 34th Street take the C train uptown. The E will leave you in Queens......I know you don't have a car but if you drove the GW leaves you in Inwood/Washington heights......not Harlem. I'd take the Lincoln or Holland to the Westside HWY.
