which hood
i bought an SS style hood for my 3rd gen, but havent gotten it painted yet, im debating whether or not i should find a stock 91-92 Z28 hood instead, i think my intake/carb will fit under it if i remove the carb spacer
SS hood
Z28 (my old 91Z)
found on the web for the color purpose

yes scoop would be done in black...
leaning towards, no idea... money is an issue, and its guna cost a lot to have the hood done properly vs selling it and finding a stock hood and having it repainted
i did find an IROC hood in white on CL for 150 with both louvers intact, however it would need to be painted cuz my cars been redone in 96 artic white. i was quoted $300 for a stock hood repaint with minimal prep needed vs who knows how much to do a dual color hood that needs prep and fitting... hmmm rattle can!
i dont think iroc and Z28 louvers are interchangable, but i could be wrong

I like the stock hood better. The curves of the ss hood do not flow on 3rd gens.
A decal for the scoop blackout is a cheaper alternative.

I like the Z28/stock hood. 3rd gens have nice crisp lines and the SS hoods looks out of place with its soft lines and curves.
