I think there is a lot of complaints about the ATI tensioner pulley. Somebody makes a nice replacement that is much better. Katech? I forget who it is right now.

I think A&A in CA and EPP in FL makes tensioners for Prochargers.

the tensioner is fine it was the dam pulley that let go thank good i was able to pull over (just as i pulled over it let out a awfull sound abd oucked it on the road ... taking out one belt (its a 12 a system and i use 2x6 rib belts)
i cut the ther other belt and drove it home .....

I posted this on Camaro z28
This is from my 12 psi 12 rib set up set up ...
This pulley has maybe 10k on it and most of the time its just normal driving I voiced my frustration to the tech guy at procharger and I said to him there has to be anther solution to this problem also in our conversation I mention this board and that I was not the only one who has had problems with this pulley.. He replied with a chuckel well i don't see many problems with that pulley and since this is an aftermarket system, that there is so much tension on the belt you should always keep a spare belt and tensioner plus some tools in the trunk) hmmm so i said to him you think 10k is allot of miles for a pulley ???? And that I would have to replace it every 10-15 k at 100+ dollars a pop...???? no answer !
Is that what they are telling their customers these days... so i had to cough up 70+ bucks for pulley and bolt to get the system back up and running.. plus have to buy anther belt (i use the two 6 rib belt 28 bucks i refuse to pay thier 80 price tag for their 12 rib belt yea ok smoke the pipe) ......
Not a happy camper here so if procharger is on this board wake up !!!! and get on the ball ... because from the pictures below you can see that the two bearing system is not the best design.. for this application ... will be looking into finding a pulley that they use on the big trucks which is very similar but much better bearing to hold the extra load ...

Yeah, the pulleys are the weakest part of their setup. I think there is a decent replacement out there that isn't plastic. Reichard Racing maybe? Reichard Racing Billet Pulleys Check them out.

************* ********** update: **************
just got the new pulley it seems that made some improvements (its larger) so in theory the pulley spins slower at hi rpm reducing bearing speed
so for anyone who runs the same type of 12 rib system may want to look into this ...
