Picked up a 31k mile 92 Z28 1LE with all the goodies!!!
Just got home 5 minutes ago with my newest prize, a 92 Camaro Z28 1LE with 31k original miles. I'm not telling you what I paid because you won't beleive me...I'm still trying to grasp it myself. Let's just say the kid who had it knew very little about what it was or how rare it is. I paid less than most stock high mileage 92's sell for.
The car's 100% bone stock except for an MSD 6AL, viper alarm, and someone swapped the 92 spoiler for a mid 80's camaro style with the 3rd brake light in it, I'll correct it soon enough. It needs some little stuff but nothing terrible at all, especially for what I paid.
It's a 305, 5sp, white, grey interior, no ac, no powers, bigger brakes/sway bars, frame bracing just about everywhere, factory roll cage, baffled fuel tank, yadda yadda yadda.
It's not a 100% show winning car, but it's definately in nice shape, and it's a great starting point.
I'm probably going to go full exhaust, bolt-ons, and a LT1 intake for now, then see where it goes from there.
I'll work on pics later...

Thought about it. Still an option but I like having a rare car. We'll see...for now I'm going to enjoy it.
I already ordered $500 worth of parts & I'm getting a list of more together before I call Summit up. Nothing spectacular, mostly maintainence stuff. I want to make sure I have EVERYTHING done so I know for a fact it IS done. After that the fun will begin.
So far I have the following coming...and it doesn't need half of this **** I'm sure but I like starting fresh. lol
-platinum plugs
-pcv
-fuel filter
-ceramic front/rear pads (going to resurface the rotors too)
-black caliper paint
-injector cleaner
Next up I call summit for
-MSD wires
-MSD distributor cap/rotor
-2 K&N's
-4qts Redline dex III ATF
-3qts Redline 80/90...if such an animal exists, can't seem to find it
-energy suspension poly motor/trans mounts
Top it off with a TA girdle/stud kit and for now she's done.

Splain this one to me Lucy. I keep seeing HSR everywhere and never got around to searching so i could figure out wtf it is. Been a while since I was in a TPI car so I have to re-learn everything. I probably know what it is too, I'm just bad with all teh interweb ghetto speak...damned acronyms.
All I know is the LT1 setup seemed like a dirt cheap way to gain a substantial amount of power. I can source a complete unit for around $150ish. Not saying HSR isn't better...just have to figure out exactly what it is first.

Good luck with it. I would just keep all stock and just maybe do a bolt on or two but nothing crazy.

We'll go for a ride soon enough. How's project Turd Burd doin?
So far I gotta say I love it! I'm starting to see little BS things here and there that need fixing or tweaking but whatever...if ever there were a car worth having to fix this is it.
The thing STOPS TRAFFIC!! 1st day out and it's already got more looks than any car I had, even the WS6.

No major accidents at all, clean carfax. PO said one of the bumpers was repainted, the rear i beleive. But no damage or evidence of it anywhere, no rust, even the undercarriage is clean. It's damned straight.

Sounds like a nice car to play with. I remember reading some tests of the Holley Stealth Ram being bolted to a TPI car and it picked up some decent power, definitely much more of a bolt on than doing an LT1 intake.
