15 ft canoe questions..

Anyone with information on the NJ boaters safety book please help!

I downloaded a copy of the manual and its pretty much a bunch of flow charts..

I have a 15 ft canoe that I want to start taking out with a few friends just to have something to do. It wont have a motor on it and its never been registered and I don't have a title(My dad got it for us to use when I was like 6). 1. Will I need a license to take it out since its over 12 ft? 2. If I am in public non tidal water will I need to have it registered?

I would like to take it to round valley and cheesequake. Any other places You can recommend?

No motor = no license I'm pretty sure. I'm not too up on my freshwater stuff though, so I might be wrong.

Yes the "under 12 foot" rule only applys to motorized craft. Its under 12 foot or more than 2 hp and you have to register a boat but the rule is only for a vessel with an engine.

I have a 14 foot kayak and theres no need to register that.
