Let's play a game...

Funny story tonight... not so much funny just very inconvenient. So I'm driving back from Burlington Mall after seeing Iron Man 2. Just as I'm about to exit I-295 my car dies, lie everything died, no gas no hazards only headlights worked.... so i manage to pull it to the side and start to cry hysterically... except not. I look underneath to see if anything was leaking, nothing was. I pop the hood so see if there was any obvious problems. Nothing out of the ordinary.

I found the problem... since I'm writing this now.

BUT I want to give you guys a chance to try and figure out what had happened. So go ahead post your answers. Then I will post what it was and how I fixed it.

It might be easy for some if not all to figure out.

I got it.

On 5/10/10 your HEI ignition became self aware, and began taking control of all of the machines and computers in the area. It quickly used its ignition module to gain access to government mainframes and important electronic devices, starting factories that began to build huminoid robot killing machines. They began terrorizing the area, crushing the skulls of the dead underneath their feet. In order to fix the problem you took up arms with some local volunteers and you battled back, fighting the HEI and it's creations using a series of tunnels and an underground network of resistance soldiers. In order to make sure that the human race would survive you sent your father back through time, where he plowed some random chick who turns out to be your mom. She toughened up as she prepared the world for the coming apocalypse, teaching a young you about the importance of proper timing settings and how to use a multimeter. As you grew you got adept at the differences between crank triggers and magnetos, and how to identify and battle ridiculously overcomplex wiring systems. Last night you met a girl you knew at an animal hospital while being chased by an optispark in a hot red leather jumpsuit. As a precaution, the future girl sends an old points ignition system back to help you. He battles the optispark with great ferocity and eventually (like all points ignitions) he gives up the ghost leaving you in a lurch. Then you realized that this is the plot to the Terminator series, and that nobody really cares what happened. If I had to guess, I'd say a fuse popped.

Your feet generated enough static on the carpet that when you accidently touched the ALDL you shorted out the whole car.
