Any Advice?
Hey does any one have any advise on a first time job seeker? What should i look for. I'm looking to work at night and maybe stocking or lifting i don't know tho. I'm also good at detailing cars. This is my first job so i don't know what exactly to look for or whats good. And please don't say "Oh its a hard time to get a job" Since i'm looking for a ****y job not a $60K Plus job then there isin't. So any advice or anyone that knows some one looking for a hard worker would be much help full.
Also want a job so i can work on the Z!!!!
Thanks
-Wes

I got hired in less than ten minutes after applying to the wrong auto parts store.
Take some time, do the online applications for a bunch of local chains, and then go talk to local stores etc. See what comes up.

Try UPS or FedEx. I hear they are pretty decent.

My first job was working as a salesman for a bike shop which was awesome. Made good money for 2 nights a week + saturdays.

Whys that? I have heard some nasty things in the past about shop rite but whats the problem?
I really would like to detail cars but i don't think a dealer would trust a 18 year old. Even tho i love cars maybe more then some people. lol

One of the most basic job tip: Dress for the job you want.
Dress how they dress for your interview. You will seem more like part of the team and the interviewer will concentrate on your answers not how you look. First impressions are everything on an interview.

What part of Jersey are you in? I've been seeing a lot of help wanted signs around my area. Two places a block away from me one looking for Warehouse help and the other one has a bigger sign looking for Welders, Upholsterer and seamstress. I can stop and get more information if anyone is interested

You'd be surprised, some dealers and/or body shops like to take on entry level "kids". It's worth applying for...I mean the worst they'll say is no...and you'd be in no worse of a situation.

Look into becoming a valet. I used to do it throughout High school and college. Good pay, great hours and the occasional exotic car. You can't beat that.
American Valet Services was the company I "officially" worked for. They basically set up franchises, which the individual owners give their own name. Call up the main office and see if they have any accounts by you.

I'll go by some local car dealer ships. And see what they say.

Lol I thought since you were on this forum you had a License. I guess that is why you should never make assumptions.
Yea you need a License. Even though I, like many valets I knew, lost my license and still worked.....no one will hire you without one....but after your hired it doesn't matter if you have one.

I know people who work for shop rite, and from what they say you better like bending over and spreading them.
