Good things do come out of screwing up your classes and graduating a semester late..
So i like to keep in touch with my preceptor from school and he sent me back some good news randomly today, he has his doctorate in accounting along with his CPA and MBA so i was asking for his advice on what i should do for my next step in education, his cliff noted reply was "well youre 6 credits away from qualifying to sit for your CPA and getting into graduate school shouldnt be a problem for you, but i think you might want to consider something else first that i discovered"... and to just be a dick thats where he stopped the email... so i write him back 'hit me'... his reply "i was looking through your transcript and credits, since you took pretty much all finance classes to fulfill the rest of your business reqs after your accounting fulfillment i came to the realization that youre only one class away from your BS in finance"... some of the best news ive heard in a while, but of course theres a problem, i recently just started my new accounting job and the one class i need to pick up another degree is only offered tues/thurs in the fall at 1030 in the morning and stockton is an hour and a half drive each way... i think it might be too early to ask if i can only work MWF during the fall lol... so if you were in my situation what would you do?

Well, would having your BS make you more valuable to them? Would THEY benefit from you having it? That's how you spin it, make it look like it benefits THEM and not just you.
Good job on the BS man(yeah that sounded bad lol).
One thing though, I never knew you could get a doctorate in accounting. Is that where they teach you to cook the books like GM and Enron?

I doubt it's for the price of 1 Al, he's still paying per credit... Like Frosty said, try and get your job to see it benefits them. I'm not really sure how else you could play it off and have them allow you to take it lol

easy. try asking your employer first, but before you do think of good reasons why they should let you go back to do it. i.e, makes their company look better, stuff like that. if they still say no..offer to work weekends to make up for lost time to get your hours for the week or whatever.
also, is there a way you can take it at a closer school and maybe transfer the credits?

You know, I live 5 minutes from Stockton, I'm driving by it all the time, and yet i've NEVER seen you drive around in my area. Anywho, If you're not looking to stay long term, don't give it too much thought. having a job is good so you can have consistant income, but in the long run, have two BS's under your belt will surely bring you more opportunity and income.

Always ask at work about education, they may even reimburse you for part of the tuition. And be careful jumping around with jobs too quickly, a lot of employers want to hire people they think will stick around so they don't have to retrain someone new all the time. So switching jobs too often will be a red flag on your resume to a lot of places.

That's all well and fine but you missed my point. You're concerned with asking them if you could do a MWF schedule, so they hold the power unless you're just going to up and quit. So my point still stands, spin as if it would benefit them, regardless if you're staying there for one more year or for the next decade.
Is it possible to do any work from home during those 2 days, like when you're done school? That's an option to bring up that might make it easier for them to say yes.

I say go for it. I also have 2 degrees (Finance and Economics) and it was the deciding factor that landed me the job that I have today.
