bought another toy ;)
so I have a habit of browsing around at cars for sale, even though I already have two f bods and a silverado truck, all in good running condition. Recently I had a Z28 catch my eye, so for the hell of it, went and took it for a ride, got a killer deal from the woman who owned it, and ended up buying it. It is a 98 Z28, fairly good condition, tan leather interior, flowmaster off road exhaust system which was about 2 weeks old, full alpine stereo system, good tires. The color of the car is what I really fell for, I dont see many around like it. Here are a couple fast pics I snapped with my cell phone, tell me what you guys think.

to be honest NASTY, I'm trying to figure the color out. It is factory paint, never repainted. It appears more of a bright maroon with a sparkle to it. I need to look the code up from the door jam and get the name of it.

wow, great info NASTY. Thanks a lot. The reason that I am wondering the factory color is a previous owner thought they were being smart, and made the hood black to go along with the black roof. I am either looking fix this persons stupidity.

Tell your friend cash talks. What price range is he looking to spend? I have two other f bods, so would be willing to sell this one if I had a serious offer. It runs like a new car, absolutely no mechanical problems, cold a.c. It isn't a show car, but cleans up quite well. Interior is in fair condition, drivers seat is torn. All together, I would rate the car 7 out of 10

Thanks a lot man. Actually its funny you mention the neighbors because I moved out of my mothers house where you met me that time and am in an apt complex now. The neighbors here HATE my cars so I tend to leave them at my mothers. There, all I have is an older woman, late 60's or so and she lovesssss the loud camaros. She always laughs and says she loves hearing them rev bc she knows I'm home safe and sound haha

my old 98 Camaro was cayenne, such a pretty color, especially how it changes under parking lot lights to like a burnt color.

I agree, it is an awesome color. When I first looked at the car, it was a cloudy crappy day and I thought the paint looked dull. The day I picked it up, it was sunny and the sparkle to the paint stood outlike I couldn't believe

It feels good to get a good ass deal with a rare color! Here was my best find. I brought it two years ago from Mass. I found it on Craigslist. It belonged to a gentleman that passed away and his daughter was in charge of his estate. The car ran like a top and interior was free of rips and tears. Ton of receipts new fuel pump/clutch. Car had 144k. I purchased it for $3200 and sold it for 4900. I wish i would of kept it

Definitely hard to pass up when you find a good deal on a good car. NASTY...I remember your thread about that car and it made me want to cry, not even knowing the car. From the pictures, looked beautiful
