Here We go Again....whom/what is the cause?
I know it may not sound like much to some people, BUT, when you spend $600+ a week on fuel this sh&t adds up!!!(my truck & 2 vans)
last weekDiesel was $2.85/gal
this morning $3.05/gal
I bitched out the attendant & he told me its gonna be $3.09/gal tomorrow morning. Asked him why it jumped so much and so fast and he had no answer!!!
I don't keep up with the news cause its depressing nor do I have a second in my day to watch TV, so my question is..................
what/whom is the cause of this?
wintertime?
everybody on the diesel bandwagon so taking advantage of it?
All I know is that diesel had always been less than regular/super gas.
NOW its $.20-$.40 more!
WTF?
it costs less to make diesel fuel cause its less refined!!!

And just a lil FYI
Do you guys know what kerosene is?
it is a by-product of gasoline!
(by-product= whats left in the can after the gasoline is completely refined=waste)
they have the balls to charge $4.20/gal for waste!!! There is something definitly wrong with the program this country is running on!

I've been watching it tick up over the last week as well. Could be the winter heating season coming. Diesel and home heating oil are just about the same stuff. But its probably just price gouging based on speculation or futures trading. Although "they" will tell you its increased demand and limited refining capacity, blah blah blah. Its at all B.S. I wish just once they would tell the truth, and I'm pretty sure it would go like this "We are sticking it to you, because we can. You have don't really have any options, so either pay or park it."
In Bordentown its holding steady at $2.93, but who knows tomorrow it could be $3.23??? Better than it was 2 years ago when it hit $4.85 +/- a gallon for no good reason. I almost did park it at that point.

Yeah, just someone tuggin on the strings again. Gas went up to, nearly 15 cents in a week or so.
I dont recall either price per barrell going up, nor the dollar really tanking.
If the President lifted the ban yesterday, that would do nothing for the gas already here.

i was going to say something like that lol, my friend works at a gas station and people always ask him why the prices are going up. thats like me working at shoprite and people asking my why stuff is going up, or why medicine at the pharmacy is more expensive.
cause they totally invite me to those top secret meetings to discuss prices

Gas has gone up $.26 - .30 a gallon over the last 3 weeks. I was watching it go up and wondered why. Oil jumped up to $85 a barrel last week so that is the cause. It has dropped back, but gas prices will take 2 months to adjust like they always do.

No they will just stay the same maybe drop a few cents.... this is there way of jacking the price up and then make you feel better that the price dropped back down, even though it won't go back to where it originally was.
was $2.79
jacked $3.19
droped $2.99 & stays this way they got there $.20 more a gallon they wanted!!!
last year when diesel was $2.35-$2.45 it jumped to $4.85 then they dropped back down to $2.65-$2.80 .....UGHHHHHH still higher than Gasoline WTF!!! should be less than gasoline f'n socksuckers!!!

Its funny cause the current or former head of MB said that american oil companies are keeping diesel prices up high so they don't have the proliferation of diesel here like in Europe.

byproduct ≠ waste. If they can make a buck off it, they will.

All I can guess is because they shut down the furnace part of Bayway Refinery for a turnaround project about 3 weeks ago for a 40 day project. Thats one of the largest refinerys on the East Coast and its right here in Linden, NJ. I just had the pleasure of working in that dilapidated **** hole.

When you were in elementary school did you bitch to the bus driver why they didn't teach you todays lesson well enough for the homework your doing that night? No,because they are just their to transport you to and from school. Thus you shouldn't be bitchin at the gas attendant, they are just there to hook a nozzle up and transport fuel into your gas tank.
Why did you bitch out the attendant? Have you ever worked a public job like that such as retail, pumping gas, waiter these people aren't going to know the answers to the questions. They just work for the company to help them do their business. Why not ask someone on corporate level or the CEO of that oil company.
If anything diesel usually goes down during the winter because diesel and home heating fuel are nearly the same thing.off road diesel and heating fuel are the same,They differ from standard Road Diesel #2 in that road tax has been applied, no red dye has been added, and there is a specification regarding ash and/or Sulphur content.

attendant is not what i originally wrote... that was modded by the mods/admin <...> he is the owner of the gas station!
I have worked a public job.... Actually all three that you mentioned & then some. If I seen you pumping gas and could tell you were just a nozzle jockey/petroleum based liquid dispensing associate I wouldn't have bothered to ask, and I sure as He// wouldnt have got a non-english speaking reply from you either.
