Recomend me a machine shop for these

Bought these within the last few weeks. . . . looking to get them milled down and checked for cracks and the valve seats redone if needed. I dont think it is going to need vavles, hopefully not. But i have been thinking about getting them CNC'd. . . . . . but not sure where i can get it done

if that does not work i am going to do the porting, very basic just spray the special paint in and just grind it down maybe a few times to clean the ports up. But still get them checked and milled. Anyone have good epxeriences in NNJ with any local machine shops?

How much do you guys predict it costing to get them checked and milled?
And how much does it run for most CNC work

the first picture is after a light cleaning with break cleaner

I had mine sent out to TEA in Ohio and they did a great job with the CNC/milling work. Contact them for a custom quote on work...their prices arent that bad if you supply the heads and do the spring assembly yourself. Shipping was $30 and turn around was 10 business days from when I shipped them.

^^Post 13 has the pics of the heads when I got them back

If the heads came off a z06 they should have sodium filled valves. If you opt for anything but TEA's stage 1 port program, you will have to buy their bigger valves. I cant tell you whether the valves need replaced by looking at them...best way to check would be a leakdown test.

PM'd you on price.

i have no reason to believe they arent from a c5z. I know a few places around here i want to take them to and see if they are willing to take up the challenge and see how much experience they have with aluminum stuff first then lsx stuff.

I picked up a set of svo 30 lb/hr off tech classifieds for cheap and sent them to New Era Performance in NY to get cleaned and flowed. I went through ebay to get my TB ported and outside polished. I think it was 60 bucks plus core. Im pretty sure its the same guy on tech that does it.

They do all the machine work for my brothers and I. They are very good at what they do, especially the guy that does the heads and intake work there, he is amazing.
