Looking for a dog?
Ewing municipal has a lot of pitbull mixes and pures up for adoption, they are great dogs who just want a great home to come to... they are mostly strays and exfighters who were abandoned for no reason but are so sweet... think about it before you spend 3 grand on a dog

one thats not going to be nice for a year and then just randomly snap and start biting. ive seen this more common with pitbulls than any other dogs. thats why i refuse to own one...especially a pre-owned animal that might have been abused

A couple in town just had their 5 yr old pit mix bite her arm after she laughed while watching a movie. I'll pass!

its the way a dog is raised not its breed, ive had 3 pitbulls and theyve been "docile" towards everyone and are very social.
my current blue pit bull is 2.5 yrs old and is the biggest baby and plays w/ the next door neighbors kids all under 5 yrs old
i will check out the shelter as me and the wife have been thinking of getting a 2nd dog

i had 6 pugs at one time, two of them were wayy nastier than either of my purebred pits. i mean my female pit would stop my little sister from getting introuble by picking her up by her diaper and moving her across the room. my male was a 85 lb lap dog that would lick you to death and then push you off the couch by stretching out before he would ever even nibble on you. its all in the dog, and how they are raised.

Exactly. The above posts are just the uninformed and close minded opinions that lead to BSL. It's a shame

I love my pit mix. She was abused when she was young and she's still a sweetheart.

For those of you in north jersey check out http://www.bruisednotbroken.com/ they have a list of pits in NYC that are on the kill list.

But you would rather have a boxer? you know they will create more destruction, damage and headaches than 10 "pre-owned" pits, right?

Saying that about a boxer is 100% the same as what he just said about pit bulls. Any dog can be a terror. And any dog can be perfect
