So my dell won't power up. I push the button and it powers then the power light flashes orange and nothing else.
Is anyone here or does anyone know someone who is good with dells? Hopefully in ocean county

So the fans start spinning then it shuts off?
How old?
What model?
They have a fan failure circuit. Is your fan dirty?

I bought it when windows 7 came out. I remember waiting so it came with 7 and not vista so I guess that's 3 years ago or so. It is an inspiron but I can't remember exactly what model.
You push the button and it comes on but no visual on screen and it starts flashing orange
It could be dirty. I'll have to check that when I get home. It was fine last night. Put it into sleep mode went to go on this morning and now this

How many times does the light flash orange?
Back in days of yore there were beep codes that told you what was wrong. Now they flash lights for a certain duration/number of times that tells you what's wrong.

Possibly bad power supply.
Try this: Unplug the power cord from the back of the PC. Press and HOLD the power button on the PC while you plug the power cord into the back of the PC.

Yup, or fan is dirty. Maybe a capacitor or resistor going.
