Black Friday at Island? - NJFBOA - Home of New Jersey's Camaros and Firebirds

Island is going to be open for a test and tune black friday, gates at 11 and racing from 12-4. Anyone interested?

Thinking about heading up and unleashing the mad cra cra pah of the mighty Nissan Versa. lol

I can't go that day; unfortunately working.

I went to Island last Sunday and it was freaking PACKED. many many cars, and nice weather and a few oil downs caused the day to go slow and I only got two runs in, AND THEY WERE AWFUL, but there were a whole bunch of solid cars making heavy passes. was really nice to see that big of a turnout at a track that just years ago was going through some really hard times.

but also...just as a FYI as the year is winding down... Nov 22 Island is hosting an event for "daily drivers" .. anything 14.00 and slower. I might bring my daily driver truck

I was looking at the daily driver race. Sounds like it would be a lot of laughs. Already have commitments that day or I would go.

I know, it was jammed... most I've ever seen there.

I may go to Black Friday... need to do the wheel cylinders in the GN (doing s10 and the big shoe mod)

I ended up going to the Daily Drivers / Grocery Getter event at island. There was a big turnout for this. A whole lotta trucks. I can post photos if anyone is interested. Was happy to get a new personal best for my ACTUAL daily driver 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad-Cab which weighs in at 5,220 pounds without driver. It has a magnaflow cat back I bought from Paul at CTW and simple K&N . I do plan on getting a Diablo sport tuner/programer this winter. My previous best was a 15.99 at 84 but at this DD event I ran a 15.097 at 89.54 mph which I was happy with. I won 2 rounds and lost in the 3rd round only because of my lame reaction time. So glad that Island is back in action and so close by. I'll be there a lot in 2016 once i get the camaro sorted out better.
