almost time to get my dads ass to the track
he finally grew a pair and hes ordering a 300hp crate 350....this from the guy who wanted to keep it stock...but i grew on him....he has headers, intake,cam,and such.....as for the crate motor...that was all him....im proud of that guy. oh yea..its a 1980 vette, fresh paint and interior...nice lookin

yea man the only thing those early 80s vettes needed was power......they got it all when it comes to the looks department

did he even drive it after the cam/heads/intake upgrade??? now hes getting a crate motor for it? He sounds like one of us...only he has money

300hp is weak as hell for a crate motor. if he has really grown a pair the minimum he shoudl be lookin at is the 350HO. vortec heads are sweet and with minor machine work to the spring pockets and a LT4 hot cam it will put out 420hp and 450ft/lbs

I hope I had something to do with it  . Maybe he saw you guys interested in racing (chip burning) and it sparked something.
I'd also have gotten at LEAST the 330hp crate. I have it and it's been through hell.... still runs great.

iirc from one of his stories from back in the day, he owned about 30 cars in his lifetime, his 13 second van and 12 second cuda stick out to me
