How bout abbreviations? U no, the 1s that go sumthin lyk this cuz ppl r so lay z, OMGWTFBBQ!!!11!!1!1!!!
Because i don't know about you, but it bothers the hell out of me. Granted, i will say "lol" from time to time, or "cuz", to be short, and i don't always capitalize my I's, but there is a fine line between being quick and being ridiculous.
Personally, i think the abbreviations take just as much, if not, MORE effort than typing in proper English.
Example:
*internet shorthand* "ne thing"
that contains two characters, and one space, then five more characters.
What is the point to this when the proper word, "anything" takes just as much key-striking, and makes you look smarter in the process for not using the internet shorthand.
I mean hey, if you want to use this method, fine by me. Absolutely no offense intended. But my eyes are bleeding from those of you who do. Someday i may bleed ON you. So please, for the sake of all of us who dislike headaches and bleeding eyeballs, give effort and intelligence a shot. I'm really just curious as to how many people are actually irritated by this, so I can know whether or not it is just me who feels this way. (This is also just related to typing on the computer in general, AIM, ICQ, Emails, forums, etc. This is not directed at anyone in particular)
