club trip to the pump gas drags anyone?
i was thinking that i really wanna see this contest even if i am not invited, so i am gonna plan to go.
teh race itself is on may 13th, the track has a test adn tune the night before that would be cool to run in. so i figure leave after work, between 6pm adn 7pm on teh 10th to get down there in plenty of time to get some rest and a bite to eat before heading over to the track.
anyone else interested in heading down? if we can get a bunch of cars together maybe we can get a little attention from hot rod magazine who said that they will eb covering teh previous nights test and tune
with my car sorted out and ready to rock, if i don't get an invite i want them to be disappointed they turned me down. hehe

the group meets at comp cams factory in memphis and then they cruise during mid day traffic to the dragstrip just outside of memphis.
the test adn tune that hot rod says everyone enjoyed last year is at memphis motorsports park the night before
should be a good time and a chance to run your car in front of the hot rod staff since they plan to cover teh test and tune the evening before their event.

im down if someone needs a navigator...i dont wanna drive there, actually, tim you need a truck w/ a hitch? by that time i can probably get dad to let me take it down for "official magazine business" i dont know if you plan on driving downt there but even if you do you should have the ability to tow it back just in case u brake some ****...lemme know
and yea if tim doesnt need a truck ill ride down wit someone and split fuel cost if you want, driving time too if you trust me

Tennesse if I read Tim's post right.
I'd go for the road trip, but I have NO idea what I will be doing as far as work, so the chances are slim I'll even be able to take off. lus no one really wants me there anyways

well gang i sent in my application for the pump gas drags. the car for sure will be in teh 10's next year!!! so i est a 10.2@135 on my slip. I have a 92 camaro rs that is going on a "diet" (per tim) and also another stage of juice. my nitrous will either be a 300 or 400 shot i have to figure out what i can do better performance wise on 93 octane. i already figure ill be yankign about 12-16 degrees of timing. by then i plan to shed about 100 lbs out of the car hopefully and maybe if i can lose liek 20 myself HEHE!!! the car has a ran a best os 11.3@119 with a horrible 1.6 ish 60'. i didnt have a rear sway bar and the pass tire was rubbing the well and i now have about a 6" sq piece of bare metal HAHA!!! i have added hte BMR pro drag bar and also 1.6 rockers (lash set .002 tighter for slightly bigger cam/lift) and a stud girdle since then. i also planon adding an electric water pump and doing more efi tuning. so im sure i should have a high 10 sec car before the second stage of nitrous is on.
