Got myself a new job!!!
Some of you already know but since im bored as usual I'll post about it...I now work for the NJ dept of transportation in the ewing office just doing clerical work and crap right now but still very happy about it. I get 30 days paid time off per year, 14 holidays paid and 3 raises a year, not to mention the pension or deferred comp plan...Everyone always said how you should get into the state & just be done with it, now I know what they were talking about...i can retire pretty much anytime after 50 years old with a pension...its just very nice to be in this position

Half my relatives work at DOT. Here I am working my butt off to pay my taxes and you guys get 44 days paid off! Now we know why our roads are a POS! I give them a hard time whenever we have a family get together.

Foff, get me a job please? I'd love to work for the state, even if it's not in my desired field

most people dont know this but all you have to do is stop by and fill out an app...its just like any other job...i took a typing test & applied for principle title clerk which as soon as im done with my probation will be my title...they are always hiring in pretty much every part of the building or in other offices across the state...i work in the big ewing office in the main office building off parkway about 10 ft from the HR building just tell them your there to see me or there to pick up an app and they'll let you in and i can show you around. Some of the work is difficult some is easy but the benefits cant be beat.
