T.O. Out Until Second Round Of Playoffs

i don't know how many of you saw teh game yesterday. owens caught a pass and when he was tackled got his leg trapped under his body in a very very unnatural position.
he had an MRI last night and today teh verdict is that he won't play at least until after the eagles bye for teh first round of teh playoffs. 2 ligaments are about 50% torn in his ankle.

at teh same time i wonder if they need to practice their adjustments in game situations. from the sounds of teh press conference TO even making it back for any playoff game or teh superbowl(superbowl is exactly 7weeks from yesterday) is an absolute best case scenario.
the press is being brutal as expected. michael irvin just refered to todd pinkston as "stinkston" on sportscenter.
westbrook is gonna need to become the focus of the offense now. can a running back carry a team that has thrived on such a huge improvement in their passing attack this season?

i saw a worse injury....

packers-jaguars game. Not only was byron leftwich getting drilled left and right on nearly every passing play, but one of the packers' receivers got clotheslined in midair, with his helmet coming off before he smashed into the ground. he recovered feeling in his legs on the way to the hospital

that was a scary hit. complete cheap shot.
the defender said he was going for the ball. somehow i have trouble buying that with the ball at mid chest level and his arm at damn near ear level.
he will be getting a nice fine and suspension from the league i hope.

they better hope they can win their vs. Wild card team game you saw how well they did without him against the hapless cowgirls...they'll be the same eagles as the last 3 years in the championship game..losers as far as that hit in the GB game goes that was a blatent(sp?) cheapshot and yes he should be fined/suspensed...i only saw the slow motion replay and didnt look that that bad but i guess in full speed that wouldve really hurt...heard he lost feeling in his lower limbs for a while...thankfully hes gonna be ok though.

the Jaguars player was ejected from the game. they showed footage of some of the Jags players on the sideline screaming at the guy. it was a pretty dirty hit.

Leftwich was getting killed on every pass play. the offensive line was holding their blocks until he released the ball, and then they'd let the defenders through and Leftwich would get drilled.

lol did anyone see the Sharper touchdown? Leftwich got sacked, and he fumbled the ball in the process. most of the players thought the play was over, as Leftwich and a Packers player were hurt. A Jags lineman picked up the ball, and Sharper from GB came up, slapped the ball out of his hands, and ran it back for a touchdown. It was challenged, since it looked like Leftwich's arm was moving forward with the ball when he fumbled. after review, the ref determined that he didn't have control of the ball at the time and therefore it was a fumble. the touchdown stood.

The Jets got rocked by the Steelers too. they won't go anywhere this year.

The Steelers almost lost to the Giants. I don't think they'll go all the way either.

My prediction is the Patriots and the Eagles in the Superbowl. The Pats win.

i think the giants game proved teh steelers can win when their defense doesn't carry them. teh steelers have teh #1 rated defense in the nfl and they laid an egg on the day eli manning realized he is a professional quarterback. that didn't stop the steelers from marching down teh field and putting up the winning points.

bettis went for over 100 yards(6th time this year), and 2 receivers had 100 yards(big ben went for 320ish on the day). the steelers have the weapons and they have beaten the pats and eagles already this year.

i wasn't expecting much out of the steelers at the begining of teh season, but they have proven that having 1 proven star is enough, just like the pats when they won 2 superbowls in the last 3 years.

plus, the pats LOST to the DOLPHINS!!!!
