Avoiding the Flu

How to avoid the flu. Especially if you haven't been able to get a flu
shot because of the shortage .... here's some good advice:

Eat right! Make sure you get your daily dose of fruits and veggies.
Take your vitamins and bump up your vitamin C.

Get plenty of exercise because exercise helps build your immune system.

Walk for at least an hour a day, go for a swim, take the stairs instead
of the elevator, etc.

Wash your hands often. If you can't wash them, keep a bottle of
antibacterial stuff around.

Get lots of fresh air. Open windows whenever possible.

Get plenty of rest.

Try to eliminate as much stress from your life as you can.

OR ... You can take the doctors office approach. Think about it, when
you go for a shot, what do they do first? Clean your arm with alcohol.
Why? Because alcohol kills germs.

So...... I walk to the liquor store (exercise), I put lime in
myCorona(fruit), celery in my Bloody Mary (veggies), drink on the bar
patio (fresh air), get drunk, tell jokes, and laugh (eliminate stress)
and then pass out (rest).

The way I see it, if you keep your alcohol levels up flu germs can't
get you!!!!

later

I think you're on to something there. I might have to open up my christmas present and get loaded, you know, so I can stay healthy.

Hmm...theory doesn't work. I actually tried it last wednesday and thurday night, then by christmas eve i was sick! Strep throat apparently and I'm finally getting over it now. Grrr....Christmas eve is a big party night in my family, and you know I wasn't feeling good when I told my parents I would be the designated driver. Although it was still pretty fun watching my parents get wrecked!

That sure is giving Tim's imagination a lot of credit if that's the only thing that proves it couldn't be from him.

You're supposed to keep the alcohol flowing while your sick and within 10 days it will be gone!

Maybe you should give it several shots tonight, instead of just one

you know how you can pour cheap vodka over a cut to disinfect it? Well, think of drinking too much as a way to cleanse yourself from the inside out. Getting wasted saved my life!

If that was true, I'd be sick all the time!
