It never ends......

We just had another Speed Density dyno tune day, and this time my car went there under it's own power. Sadly, the dyno shop is where it stayed.

After a 6500 RPM run, we noticed that the serpentine belt was gone. Found it under the car intact, but when we put it back on the problem became aparrent. The power steering pump bolts both ripped the threads right out of the accessory bracket.

The car made 358/354@ 5500 RPM (without touching the timing or WOT fueling), but there's something wrong with it. The power just flatlined at 5500 and stayed, all the way to 6500. That cam should be pulling to 6700 according to Joe O. We're thinking that the cam is installed off a tooth. It's being extremely picky with fuel and timing, runs rougher than ***** below about 2400, and doesn't really clean up above that more than it just overcomes it. It's still at the shop getting the bolts helicoiled for the PS pump, and it's also getting new motor and tranny mounts, then I'm bringing it back home and tearing it down to see WTF the deal is.

Had a pretty good time, tuned quite a few cars, and a couple are a testament to how bad the factory tuned can be (think +70 HP and +86 lb/ft on an almost stock 87 L98).
