Family Picnic / F-body roundup

This is an issue with anyone who is married. Â*Maybe some kind of summertime get-together in a park with a few grills and benches will make it easier for the married guys to get together with the club. Â*Not as fun as time at a track maybe, however getting the ladies together to meet each other and the kids to play together might make it easier in the future to slip out for impromptu meets and such. Â*

Plus its yet another excuse to drive the f-body somewhere and show it off.

Just an idea. Â*

Good idea.

You married memebers can't leave your significant others out of things.... we do a lot of drag racing which they may not be involved in.

We should have a picnic/ bbq, invite the non car people (wives, husbands, kids etc) and just have some fun

Me.... I don't have this issue.... no lady for me

This does sound like a good idea. Anyone know of any nice parks nearby that wouldn't mind hosting a family picnic (that just happens to be populated by a slew of f-bodies )?

My first thought was somewhere near the shore. However summertime parking there is a nightmare, and the beach is more like a zoo. Anyplace with grills and maybe a playground would be perfect. The center of the state works best so that it isnt too far for the north and south crew to bring out their familes.

Anyone familiar with Cheesequake park, or any camp grounds in the center of the state that might allow group get-togethers? Some local parks in towns have those pavilions or shelters with grills, however it might be tough getting the directionally-challenged out there.

there's a big park in piscataway, literally 50 ft from 287(if you're going north), with room for 60+ cars, a softball diamond, pavillions, grills, and a volleyball net...plus mommy knows everyone important in town so reserving it wouldnt be any trouble at all

also, its about 5-10 minutes away from fudds so if anyone wants to take a ride to check it out lemme kno and ill get u directions

Roosevelt Park in Edison(next to Menlo Park Mall for the ladies), or Warrenanco(sp?) are pretty big and I believe they have BBQ's.

ocean county is one big park. take a look at any map. most of them have facilities, too. better to get a date in mind and get ahold of the park officials to see if we canr eserve some space. some parks are first come get space, but others are so popular that you need reservations.
