Yup, I redid my headlight motors a year ago with those kits. Works great and no problems since, plus, Brent is a really cool guy and a long time Mod over at cz28.

Fixed my headlights with the brass gears on my 94 LT1 about a year ago, they work great and have had no problems.

taking apart the motor carefully is a little tedious, but other than that, no complaints

Also,

If it's not one of the three prongs that go bad, you can also just rotate the gear 180 degrees; the motor only utilizes about 1/2 of the gear, so if you realign the gear to the opposite half, it should work like new. I did it to both headlights on my 95 and 96 Firebirds = 4 headlights total that it worked on. Total cost = $2 or $3 for epoxy to reglue the motor casing back together.

If anyone needs further instruction on how to do it, let me know and I can dig out the instructions (with images).
