Brian's Street/Strip 67 Camaro

The engine i built while working for Windsor Machine in East Windsor NJ, it makes 415hp and powers the car to Low 11's at 117mph on Pump Gas.

The Roll cage I fabricated for the car, its an 8 point cage tying into the subframe connectors. The interior i re-apolstered after finishing the roll bar project.

the stainless exhaust system i built for the car, 3" Diameter.

This is a fuel cell, weight box and battery box i fabricator for the car out of 1/8" aluminum. A mounting system is the next project on the list, and will be built shortly.
Currently its an unfinished product, but its coming along nicely.

here is a link to the car leaving the starting line:

the ride i'm currently Building for a Customer at the Shop, Starting with what was a Stock suspension G-body Malibu, i cut the floor/firewall out of the car and began fabricating a 3/4 tube chassis for it.

It features a Ladder bar suspension. Every peice is custom fabricated, fit and TIG welded.

The front clip will be replaced with fiber glass, and shortly i will be doing the Sheetmetal work in the car.

The door panels currently on the car are peices that it showed up with and will be removed/replaced.

The next aspect of the car is to finishing mounting both aluminum seats, the mid-driveshaft loop, and the door bars,

Afterwards the engine and mid plates will be mounted.

Shortly thereafter body mounts will be made up and the front clip will be removed, at this point we will begin on the body work, such as stretching the wheel wells.

The next project is a Custom Subframe i'm fabricating for a friend's 69' camaro race car. Its a completely new design featuring my engineering and my fabrication.

Each individual plate, accessory, or peice is individually laid our and sheered from a large sheet of material. I do all the layout work and sheering.

Then i assemble the peices and clamp them into the fixture i fabricated for the job. Afterwards i finish weld the peice and move onto the next aspect of the design.

The plans for the design were developed on Autocad with an overlay of the stock frame which i took the time to lay out the original frame on Cad specifically for the design of this.

Looks good! I can't wait to get into some type of Pro-Touring Camaro but I have to wait until my 69 Z28 is done so I can sell it.

looks good man. Those TIG welds are very tidy, I'm impressed. what kind of welder are you using? The only TIG I've ever had the pleasure of using was a Lincoln square wave TIG.

By the way, if you ever need another employee, I'm a pretty decent welder
shameless, I know

That's some good work, the camaro is clean as hell. I'll have to get up with you when I move up there, I'm looking at getting a cage later this year.

The 67 is nice! I think I remember you posted the pics of that fuel cell at Team Camaro a while back.

thanks Guys! The compliments are very much appreciated!

to answer a few questions,

the welders i use are a Miller 250dx watercooled TIG (my shop). Very nice peice!

The welder at Work is a Licoln 175 squarewave TIG, its a very nice machine and has had no trouble handling the work i do. We will be getting an additional machine soon.

Ian, send a few pictures of your work to Speedygoomba@yahoo.com

Brian
