Question New location for the May CJCFO/NJFBOA meet

There was some talk about moving the meeting around, possible a little more North.

I don't know allot of places, Fudd's was nice in that ordering and paying was easier (But then what could we do to Justin???), but then we had to deal with the "dream car club". There is a Stewart's drive-in near there, but I don't think the parking is ample?

The T.G.I.F. on the Flemmington circle has been mentioned.

Again, this will be the May 9th, second Tuesday of the month.

Any other spots you want to suggest?

John

Wink

In Hillsborough, there is a Famous Daves(next to Applebees) on 206. It has a large enough lot towards the back for ample parking. Last year, they hosted a small car show either on Thursday or Fridays to help drum up business there, so parking should be OK. However, pricing is a bit on the high side and reservations for seating may be required.

Fudds on Route 22 in Bridgewater or on Route 1/18 near New Brunswick

TGI Fridays in North Brunswick (route 1)

TGI Fridays on the 202/206 Circle, Somerville / Bridgewater area

Applebees in Hillsborough or Milltown (near New Brunswick)

Ruby Tuesdays in Raritan (route 202 near Wegmans / Home Depot)

Ponderosa (YEEHAW!) one stoplight off the Flemington circle

Uh... I'll think of more later.

I'll second the notion of Fudd's in New Brunswick. We have a lot of monthly meets there and never had any problems. The managment openly welcomes car clubs. Us slobalts (and some others) will actually be meeting there this saturday at around 4pm.

Just got torched. They had to shut down part of 202 and there was 3-4 fire trucks surrounding it.

The Fudds people probably read this thread and eliminated the competition.

They had a fire there last year too. It started in the kitchen and kept it closed for almost a year.

Someone doesn't like that place.

I'd be up for the Fudds at the intersection of 1 and 18. Cheaper than the Bennigans across the street, though smaller beer selection.

famous daves hillsboough

Hey, I think the idea for famous daves in Hillsborough would be a great idea. They do have a nice parking lot, kinda perfect for showing off ur cars if u ask me(lol). Also as mentioned they do already have car shows there every once in a while, so they would most definitly have no problem having us there. My friend works there and has a 95 TA, maybe i can have him speak to the owner and see whats possible. Im sure it wouldnt be a problem. Let me know if this sounds like a good idea, and ill ask him. oh yea..and the food is banging... oh yea we could park in the back lot, so everyones cars would be safe. best idea in my opinion.
