i never really looked into different helmets, im not sure whats good now. i got mine years back, its a shoei and has been great, it still fits and stood up to my abuse. it was like 225 or around there, i still need to find a tinted sheild

i use my full face helmet all the time since i got it, but once i hit the road again in a month or 2, i'll buy a half helmet, aka brain bucket, for local riding. But still if i go on any highways or rides over like 5 miles away, i will still rock the full face. i'll only use the brain bucket for liek in town or down the shore, or on charity motorcycle runs.

Try switching to standard. If a 10mm, 13mm, or 15mm wrench/socket won't fit on something in a thirdgen, chances are good that it's standard.

im bored.. lol. as for bolt sizes. there are some 14mm(or 9/16) on a 4th gen, mainly i think y pipe bolts, and other random stuff. i know with the v belt setups they had brackets and bolts everywhere so its a little annoying, plus all the emissions junk clutters everything up. when pulling it apart you almost have to do it in like layers, lol.

that reminds me, i gotta do a motor swap on my '85 iroc some day. i'm putting a semi-worked 89 305 in the car. I only gotta find a 86+ flywheel, and everything else will be a simple swap, should take 2 days or so.

yeah, the bronco is a long term project sorta. My neighbor gave me a 1984 351w that was rebuilt like 8k miles ago. I pulled it apart, just left the shortblock intact. 2 intake bolts broke in the heads so thats why they came off to get fixed. It got new head gaskets, new valve covers, new oil pan, new timing gears and chain, new timing cover, new intake manifold, new carb, and now i need to order a new water pump, new balancer and a new distributor. Im buying an HEI dizzy just so i'll have less wiring under the hood. The battery will be mounted in the rear cargo area and starter solenoid will be in the cab. Only wiring underhood will be starter lead, electric choke, ign to dizzy, alt wires, temp sender, oil sender, tach wire, and headlight wiring. I have 6" procomp springs for the rear, 8" skyjacker lift for the front. I still need to buy all shocks and front springs. i just bought new front shock mounts. And i gotta run lines for the new brake setup(non abs now) All front sheet metal, grille and lights i have new. The truck had major fire damage and i basically started from the ground up including a hotrod style wiring harness and fuse box. Its a project that ive had sitting a while and i just want to get it running. Oh, its also getting a C6 trans and a manual shift T-case.

It got new head gaskets, new valve covers, new oil pan, new timing gears and chain, new timing cover, new intake manifold, new carb, and now i need to order a new water pump, new balancer and a new distributor. Im buying an HEI dizzy just so i'll have less wiring under the hood. The battery will be mounted in the rear cargo area and starter solenoid will be in the cab. Only wiring underhood will be starter lead, electric choke, ign to dizzy, alt wires, temp sender, oil sender, tach wire, and headlight wiring. I have 6" procomp springs for the rear, 8" skyjacker lift for the front. I still need to buy all shocks and front springs. i just bought new front shock mounts. And i gotta run lines for the new brake setup(non abs now) All front sheet metal, grille and lights i have new. The truck had major fire damage and i basically started from the ground up including a hotrod style wiring harness and fuse box. Its a project that ive had sitting a while and i just want to get it running. Oh, its also getting a C6 trans and a manual shift T-case.

i havent installed the lift yet because i still dont have the one radius arm drop brackets, front springs or shocks. lol, plus the front quad shock brackets are rotted, so i just boguht new ones i have to install. once thats done then, the lift can go in, then the drivetrain and finally the sheet metal goes on. i just have so many other projects i neglect the ford, plus im a little tight on cash right nwo so i dont have 600+ bucks to dump into the bronco yet
