I figured it out One of the clips that hold...

I figured it out

One of the clips that hold the spark plug wires together on the drivers side broke and a couple of them swung down and burnt on to the manifold causing them to arc into each other...

well i checked the timing and its dead on so i can cross that out...and the you can hear that something is off at idle but when you put it in drive the thing just chugs and bounces but never stalls. ...

put the crank sensor in today....book labor time...

My aunts jeep demon

My aunt has a 98 cherokee with 4.0 I6. She claims it dies out on the highway and sometimes at idle but only when the engine is hot. I had the car for a whole day and was only able to get it to stall...

Sorry about that, ya im talking about the rear main seal...im leaning more towards the 1 piece because ive seen less leaking issues on that style.
