Have a Lil suprise for the dyno day!!
well as of 10 min ago me and Chummmma have decided to throw his custom grind cam into my car tommorrow after work.
im going to be taking out the stock pushrods and adding the hardened pushrods and w/ his 245/250 KOD Cam
i put down 418hp/380tq on the 853 heads and LS6
i now have the FAST 90/90, stock 241s and a (well tommorrow) bigger cam. so im hoping for some stout hp/tq numbers.
what do you all think?

It wont need flycutting on stock heads. about .075 clearance on intake and about .090 on exhaust

Last minute changes are a nono. Don't do it, something bad will happen and you'll miss the dyno. Wait until you have enough time to make sure you do it right.

we have everything. well minus the pulley puller that we'll have to get from auto zone.
plus it shouldnt take more then 3 hrs since i have no a/c. all i have to remove is the radiator and fans, and take the valve covers off.

when you already have the stuff its easy to do it quick/
if you havent already, you also need injectors, springs, retainers, timing chain, lifters and an oil pump.
thats all not ness. but if you want to do it rite, and since the car is opened up thats the best time to do all that.IMHO.

yeah springs / oil pump /chain would deff take more then 3 hours...
the cam itself pretty easy. when the radiator is out i think its 24 bolts to the cam.
then another 34 for the rockers/valve covers/coil packs. at least on a fbody... vettes are a pain in the ass to do a cam with the stupid powersteering rack.
