well anything could really do that...not just nitrous...nitrous shouldnt backfire if its done correctly. hell, nitrous isnt even flammable, its an oxidizer

someone mustve yelled NAAWWWWWZZZZ, then it blew up and came off of the ground and blue flames.

TNT Ram Air had a backfire that took out his manifld and hood a while ago.

Yes, it is capable of that. Not necessarily the N2O but the extra fuel.

And chances are his insurance company denied his claim...
