Why not where it belongs on the front of the cylinder head?

Why go to a different coil? Why not just keep the stock one?

It came with the MSD box, and I think the stock coil is on its way out. Kinda falls apart at higher rpms, and its not the opti.

There are a few unused bolt holes in the block below the head. You could either build a bracket for the ICM or the coil and mount it down there.
Might want to also add another ground strap to the bolt on the coil to the ICM mount too.

Just remember that if you relocate the batt. and you plan to take the car to the track, then you'll need to make it NHRA compliant.
NHRA cert. batt box, car shutoff switch, proper grounds etc. Allot of money and effort just to mount a coil. Plus I'd perfer the coil close to the dist. so the coil wire is short and delivering a nice hot spark with less change of arcing.

This whole car is a lot of money to accomplish something trivial but thats the fun of it. And I don't drag race, nor do I intend to. And this weekends project is trying to get the ICM and this coil to play nice by the head. We shall see.
