CC503, Comp Pro Mag lifters, Valve springs that ran with the cam, LT1 timing set, and all the hardware for the valve springs(shims, retainers, locks, locators) 280 shipped

well I have most all my bolt on mods sitting in my living room as of now and have been looking at cams again and came across those 2.
I am leaning towards the 503 as of now and am just looking to get some out side opinions thanks.

x2, if you call any cam company direct you can save yourself a couple bucks. They will also help pick the right one you need.

or you can ask one of the sponsors

But if must, I would say the 503. Hotcam is outdated. And what are pro mag lifters?

Used cams and used lifters, big no no.

Spend a few extra bucks and do it the right way.

Yup, I figure it would be even more nose in the air that an LS1.

And to the OP, just make yourself a kit for it. That way you can pick your cam, and know for sure your springs can handle the lift etc.

If I could find new/unused ones for a good price I wouldn't be looking at used.

been trying to sell trade it for almost a year now.

If I still have the car by the end of the year I'm throwing all my bolts on's on it and am probably going to do a engine rebuild.
so basically the 503 is better then the hotcam

The good news is that relying on used parts will afford you the opportunity to buy a whole bunch of new parts soon anyway. Random failures of second hand parts are funny that way.

And you may want to look into just doing the whole thing at once, heads/cam combo won't be that much more than getting a good cam setup.
