Ah well, I guess I don't win.
And I am not going for show class here, I just want to get rid of stuff that does not make it go faster or is important.

That is an old pic of the Pampered z you should see it now.
My honest suggestion: unless your car looks like his or is close to as fast I wouldn't worry about little things like a purge solenoid. Instead maybe try making sure you have exponged all other major avenues for improovement in appearance and power before you worry about the little things.

Well I want to relocate the fuel lines, and this is holding me back. I am going to relocate it I think.

I really want to see pampereZ's engine bay now. Can anyone shoot me a link, I think I saw a picture of it in the past but don't remember what it looked like off the top of my head.
Edit- Some people have the touch when it comes to quick disconnects but if I was to be honest the worst part of pulling my engine the 3 - 4 times I have done it is getting those friggin fuel lines disconnect. I tend to just remove the fuel rail and leave it on the side now.

Here you go.
( below should be in the appearance section, but I don't have time to work on the new web page.
Valve cover to TB line has been rerouted. The line runs around and under the engine and into the air cleaner ( prevent boost from pressurizing the crank) I removed the male hose connection from the TB and machined an aluminum plug. "cheap-O braided hoses used on the FP line and AC line, just because with everything else, the stock hoses didn't look right.
EVAP is relocated behind the intake, Braided line now runs from the selinoid to the TB.
Wiring harness was rerouted, all wires now run under the engine or under the fuel rails. I cut passages behind the fuel rail mounts for the injector and MAP wires, the only wires you can see are from the front of the fuel rails to the map sensor. All of the other wires run down along the side of the engine. After extending the wiring harness. I cut apart the heat sheilding cloth ( allot of hours spent removing the thread ), then wrapped the wires tight and re-sewed it back together, then passed that thru the heat resistent convoluted tubing, then mounted it to the block using aluminum straps I made. And of course, everything could be polished was. What could was painted. ( Supercharger inlet tubes are Jethot coated to somewhat match the polished aluminum.
( the FP gauge sender was just stuck on the shrader because the braided line was leaking, it actually mounts down in the fender well so that if it ever leaks no fuel will be spraided onto a hot engine or exhaust ).

Honestly man I fully agree with you here. A little less clutter can go a long way when there is a bunch of stupid **** in the engine bay

I have to call , your car SHOULD have that stuff and doesnt. So dont TRY to sound like the voice of reason here. Stop defending people when you do the same thing

Yea, people are quick to jump on my case about this one.. ah well.
I plan on just rerouting it, although, in all honesty, no cats + 107LSA = raw fuel smell anyways.... lol

Just do like i said...get rid of the canister, route the line into the TB where it goes anyway so it doesnt leak fumes into the bay. Ive done this on 4 cars so far and nothing bad/different has happened except more room

You guys don't get it. You can't tamper with stuff and hope to legally operate your vehicle on the roads. And I wouldn't be one bit surprised to see the new administration come up with even more restrictions on what changes can be done to a vehicle. The less clutter argument is total bs unless you have an all out show car which is usually not used as a daily vehicle anyway. Yes, it's possible to unclutter while maintaining the functionality of the various systems and that's what you should be looking to do, not just remove stuff because you think it robs horsepower. Just don't come crying back about how you got pulled over and received 10 tickets because of the illegal stuff. Just hope that NJ doesn't turn into CA where they take your vehicle off the road if the emission's stuff has been altered or tampered with. There, I'm done until the next stupid idea pops up.

i really have to think they need a warrant to search under your hood. i know most cops wouldn't know what is what and where its supposed to be. so if its relocated, cop can't find it, is that a ticket?
and who cares if its show car or not, like wtf is the point of washing your car then? seriously
i find our underhoods a total eye sore, i love the look of a classic sbc with no bs around, i want that look.

Woah.
Mine is still on there. And your point about the "emisions stuff" is kinda BS. If your car(s) are 100% stock then ok, but other wise, BS.

How so? There is a federal law about tampering with emission's equipment. Most states are pretty lenient about it though. Expect that to change with our new "green" president so be prepared. While relocation stuff sounds fine and does allow the stuff to still do it's job, the federal law specifically says that emission's equipment can't be altered or moved. So most of our cars are ticking timebombs for the "green" police. Anything that looks/sounds/smells illegal (tint, blackouts, loud exhaust, no cats, lumpy cam, non functioning brake lights, blinkers, expired inspection, etc.) will be cause to get pulled over and possibly a closer inspection to see what has been modified.
No yuppies here!

Well what I meant was it is not your place to criticize me, when your car is anything but 100% stock...
