only read like first 5 posts, but probably the reason he sells ****** turbos with a huge markup is to make some of his R&D money back, not the first or last time someone will do that

BFD. It's easy to avoid a company that isn't making the parts anymore, lol.

It's funny people whining about china produced crap - that is how it works, someone designs something, they have it made, box it & sell it. To keep something in the range people will buy that cut corners, like china foundries. Americans, including many car owners are often cheap bastards. You get what you pay for. LOL

This guy nailed it:

I said it right off the bat..."For the price it has to be CHINA!!!!

For under 6-8k to get a complete well rounded turbo kit you need one of two things off the top of my head.

One being a small unstable operation. The other being a bigger more stable operation getting parts out sourced from China or the like.
The best part is the backyard wrenchers thinking they can now do it themselves. Hee hee.

This reminds me of the whining people do about DSE's stuff. They do all the R&D on their track proven parts, do manufacturing in the US and then price the product accordingly. Then people whine about "it doesn't cost that much to make that. I can get it on eBay for half that". Good luck with the eBay knock off control arms that are half price with poor quality welds. If the R&D $$ and quality manufacturing $$ is not recouped in the price then no one is gonna do any R&D.

Go ask SJ Sleeper how he likes offshore crap.

ABSOLUTELY. You get what you pay for. Want to cheap out and go imported on something? Then you run the risk of bad quality.

Why are you confusing cheap china ripoff aftermarket parts with Japanese OE spec manufacturing quality?

It's all about cost.

wait you coulnt pass a class... so you keyed her car... thats f-ed up dude... when i was failing senior year cause i didnt give a crap i knew it was my fault haha... as for the chinese thing... ill try to avoid cheap knock off stuff as much as possible... heres an example... from my machine shop.. guy built his own engine... used a cheaper chinese forged crank... he used a crappy torque wrench and over tightened the rod bolts... and spun a few bearings and ended up fracturing the crank... now in alot of cases cranks can be fixed but becuase this was a chinese crank the place that fixes them said it would never work because the metal they use is poor quality and the repair wouldnt hold for very long.... you get what you pay for.....
