				transmision strength?
			 
 
			
			how strong is a stock 4l60e? i want to but a th350 or th400 but i dont really have much money right now so im thinkin that  i might just put a mvb in my 4l60e and spend a lot on  a rear

			Not worth going to a TH350 in my opinion. You can build a 4L60-E up pretty good. If you are pushing a lot of hp then consider going to the TH400/4L80. 
 Do the rear first, though. That's the real weak link.

Even though my ten bolt went mid 11's on slicks many times...

You need cross member, either cut your harness or get one, and a TQ conveter that has 4l80E/4L60E. They usually can  hold up more than 4L60E.
