Unsure about this statement. Sarcasm or...???

And Jay, do you honestly have any right to talk ill of a child bringing a toy gun to school? IIRC, pretty sure you have no grounds to comment on that subject.

as a father of a 7 year of boy im pretty sure i have the grouds and if you REALLY recall....I of all people should be against zero tolerance. i mean...really...if you recall correctly.

as for the MJ laws, yes we are fighting for legalization. until then we operate WITHIN the law WITHOUT breaking it. not everyone in america that advocates or even uses MJ is breaking the law.

then you know that it is impossible to know exaclty what your kid takes to school with them everyday. even if you search the bookbag daily, a small toy can be grabbed and put in a pocket or whatever w/o a parent having any idea.

I understand what Nasty is saying, in a way he IS right....a rule is a rule...but there needs to be some discretion and common sense used in handing out the punishment.

rules are open to interpretation, as are statues and laws. the judiciary system is full of checks and balances for that reason alone.

yup, he has his own video game system with only games i approve of. he's not allowed to play with my xbox because the games i own are too mature for a 7 year old child. my son is also not allowed to watch certain programming on tv as well. yes i do monitor what my child does.

we love loud things....cars, trucks, sports, metal whatever have you and boys will be boys. my son has tons of gun toys and he goes out with his friends and they run around playing cops n robbers and whatever have you. the difference is my son knows he's not allowed to bring toys to school and leaves them for playtime at home.

boys will be boys and boys will get in trouble. my son has gotten in a fight in school this year and suspended for it. even though he wasnt the one to start the fight both boys were suspended. was i mad??? not really. we had a talk, he explained what happened and I understood that even though IT WASNT HIS FAULT, the rules still subjected that he be suspended as well. did i post up crying that its not fair and the rules need interpretation? nope....i took him out for ice cream and a pat on the back

no because he didnt break the rule. he defended himself which i am very proud of. i just understand that the RULES provide that it doesnt matter who started it they both get punished. even if he didnt defend himself he wouldve been suspended, so which is why he didnt get punished.

Um, what?

He broke the rule, you admit that, and yet, you also admit you rewarded him cause of it.

Where is the logic there?

It was a little of both. When I the second ammendment was written it had nothing to do with gun. The british were still in America and sleeping American homes and takig the over. So the right to bear arms basicly gives you the right to defend your own home from foreign invasion.
