cage work pics

So my cage is all set -here are some pics during the process and the finished cage -not necessarily in chronological order lol

Still need to clean the whole interior and paint it -only stuff going back in is the dash and seats -all business.

My buddy did it -it's all MIG -he has only done a handful of cages -but his work is top notch.

couple of things I think I would have done differently, The rear bars should land on the shock/spring mount ,theres a lot of forces transmited thru that region of the car. The pads that the rear stays do land on look really small bigger is better here should be atleast a 6x6 pad. The door bars are a really tight angle. If you didnt want to climb over a traditional x in the door you could do a low bar welded to the rocker and a upper bar connected by some short vertivals tubes. Think mini nascar bar. Is there going to be a dash bar.
Not a bad job at all just some things to think about.

The surface area on the rear strut mounts is very small -this seemed to be the best solution -also that is right on top of the frame rail. I had thought about going the "NASCAR" style door bar route -it just would not fit.

here it is painted:
