powdercoating, paint or chrome?

ok i just picked up a set of chrome ss 10 spoke wheels. the chrome is flaking off. should i paint them or powdercoat them black or have them rechromed? and does anyone have a pick of them black?

Search the user "Ping King" on LS1tech... he did the 10 spokes in such a way that IMO looked awesome. Black spokes and a silver lip... even though the wheel doesn't have an easily discernible lip, came out good. That's what I would do

search on tech for sure, quite a few on there! if you want them durable, powdercoat. otherwise, sand them down, clean them, prime and paint with duplicolor!

you can't just powder over flaking chrome
and it's going to be bitch to remove the chrome
but you will need to inorder to get a nice finish.

media blasting? heavy sanding? chemical bath? chrome isn't that hard to take off, but it requires effort.

how much does it normally cost to powdercoat rims like ( i have C5 vette rims). (Black)
