RTD (Ready-To-Drink, or premade) or a powder?

IMO (and I've drank a lot of them):

RTD- Muscle Milk
Powder- Optimum Chocolate or Mint Chocolate

I was using EAS for a while, the vanilla isn't half bad when mixed with cold milk and a squirt of chocolate syrup.

But just taking protein shakes is gonna make you bloated/fat if your body doesn't need the added protein.

And you will have gastro discomfort, like gas and possibly loose stool. Oh, and there's the whole cholesterol thing if you aren't careful.

As for prices, they are all over the place. Try Bodybuilding.com and Supplementwarehouse.com.

RTDs will be more expensive per gram of protein since they are premade and prepackaged.

I believe you are missing my point.

Example.

For a 6' 1" 320lb 21 year old male, a rough guess of your BMR is 2800 calories a day. If you only do 1300 you are too far off of your BMR, your body will go into starvation mode, and will fight you trying to lose weight.

Ergo,

FAIL.

I am not talking about starving as in hungry. I am talking about you triggering your body into thinking it's starving by not eating enough. So it automatically tries to hold onto weight and fights your efforts.

i believe its still like75-80 bucks for the ten pound bag at vitamin shop.....but as far as your calorie intake, should be way higher even if your cutting i only weighed 198 lbs and was still taking in 1500 a day at the minimum for 2 weeks max....its not good for your body to deplete it of food like that, you better be taking a whole food multivitamin too
