I always forgot right up to running out of whatever stuff I have, and then am stuck with getting new stuff local.

matt where do you get your products from? have you checked out dpsnutrition.net? almost cuts the price in half of what GNC sells the same products for. i get n.o. xplode for less than 30 bucks shipped to my house, same with sp250, all my protein powder, etc.
LTb1ow

Yea, thats what I should do, like I said I always wait to the last minute... paid 45 for 2.5 lbs of NO today at Vitamin shop.
madness410
07-03-2009, 11:19 AM
return it.
http://www.dpsnutrition.net/get_item_bs054.htm
they raised the prices but i think its because its a different size. that or my memory is not serving me right today. but DPS is awesome, you buy 1 thing or 20 things the shipping is still 5 bucks. and they are in pennsylvania, ive had stuff come the day after i ordered it.
LTb1ow

Wish I could, I lifted with it already. Like I said, next month I will order online.
madness410
07-03-2009, 11:38 AM
word. another good thing is to get your lifting partners / buddies into looking at that site..me and my friends do we order a bunch of stuff, 100+ bucks worth of stuff, they give us free shirts or whatever and shipping is still 5 bucks.
how do you like the n.o. xplode compared to sp250? what flavor did you get? ive tried raspberry, lemon lime, and fruit punch and they all sucked the fat one, but u dont really buy those products for taste

go buy some novedex xt or Tbomb 2, or animal stak or animal test. it will certainly "cut it" for you :D
yeah the nice thing about the Tbomb is if you do heavy weight youll bulk fast but you can cut with it as well, im seeing really nice results with it this time around. i mixed it with running and some total body work outs and im cutting really nice (lower estrogen lvls help with that as well)
LTb1ow
07-05-2009, 01:48 PM
I may try some of that stuff...
Worth it to stack something with the NOxplod?
Crayface

yea i did that stack before and got some nice gains...cept i used novadex instead of tbomb.

If you go to BB.com, put your waders on. A TON OF KIDDIE BS and bad info. Telling guys to go on heavy duty stacks when they can barely bench 250, poor squat form videos, dumb "catch phrases", you name it.

exactly. id say the best advice is find someone who knows their stuff and has been lifting for a while, and go to him for all your advice. one of my good buddies just happens to be a personal trainer / amateur body builder and i go to him for all my advice.
if you ask somebody behind a computer screen it could be the person giving you advice is some scrawny 16 year old who thinks hes big because he has 8% body fat and lifts twice a week..you never know.

Eat more. Evaluate your current diet. Are you sure you're eating enough to gain weight?
Its simple, More calories eaten than calories burned equals weight gain.
Edit: I'm not saying go out a eat junk food to get your intake up. Healthy food.

I haz black powder. :)
Sold the NO cause it sucked, and got some MRI stuff.
It says only one scoop, I am used to two or three with SP250... ?
madness410

LTb1ow
07-11-2009, 02:15 PM
Yea, and I weigh about 205 so I would assume the one scoop is just a general starting point for all body weights... it says no more than 3 scoops in a 24 hour period.

Whey and a vitamin, Creatine every other month, joint supp as needed.
SNM- If you haven't, get a blood test at the very least. Make sure they test for ALT/AST liver enzymes.

WildBillyT

Do a search on FDA.gov on a company before you buy their stuff and see if there's anything shady about them. Most of the time you won't find anything.
Example:
http://www.fda.gov/ForConsumers/ConsumerUpdates/ucm152152.htm
EDIT- SNM was not reffering to that post. He was referring to one above it. I posted the FDA link here in case anyone happened to take any of those companies products.
SNM: You just want to make sure that you aren't really stressing your organs too much. Most supplements (if not all) are not tested that much for safety and/or haven't been around long enough for long-term effects to start showing up. ALT and AST are the liver enzymes that get elevated if your liver is under stress.

I'm not trying to scare anybody! Really! It's just that keeping tabs on your internal health is a good idea if you are taking a lot of supps. Forums, magazines, ads, and such make it look like drinking some of this stuff is harmless and is the same as drinking Gatorade or Fruit Punch- but it's not. Ma Huang/Ephdra was all the rage until somebody died, and then the whole industry said "OOPS! Sorry" and that was that.

I hate to keep kicking this thread back, but figure its better than making a lot of similar threads.
I am looking for alternatives to NO. I mainly just take it for mental help now. It def has lost its origanal effects on me. So what kind of things can I take for a pre workout supp?
Also, I think because I can't do pyramid or fail workouts, I am having a hard time building mass, any thoughts on that? I just do 4 sets of each exercise.

dude, check your o-rings in your mixing bottles. NO (blk powder) is carbonated I guess, so the other day i put 2 scoops in and procede to shake it. all of a sudden the ****ing whole top of the bottle flys off creating a huge popping sound showering all my freshly done laundry with 8oz. of fruit explosion. Havent been 180 since track season in high school. Stresses form and intensity, i feel like i accomplish so much more in my workouts. ive recently been doing some drop sets for some of my workouts.
take lateral raises for shoulders for example...i would do as many as i can with 30's...then once my form starts suffering...drop them and start doing the 20's immediately...do the same..drop those do 10's..after that i do sets with just my arms lol. it burns so bad. i only do that for my last set on that exercise. thats something thats easy to try.

nah vasocharge sucks. the reason why i got it is because i bought some post workout stuff from scivation and it came with it...so pretty much i got to try it out for free.

LOL sorry if thats a dumb answer, but I don't think there is a magic answer. Running is a mental thing which you probably know, so running with a friend helps a lot.
As for training, do you have access to a track?

LOL sorry if thats a dumb answer, but I don't think there is a magic answer. Running is a mental thing which you probably know, so running with a friend helps a lot.
As for training, do you have access to a track?
Running faster makes me run slower times because I don't pace myself, get out of breath and slow down to a walk. I found out the hard way  As far as a friend goes, all the people that I know that go to the gym are into lifting, not running, so I'm SOL on that part.
I do have an access to a track, old HS one, but I prefer to run at the gym because there's a timer there, which clearly tells me when I have to move my ass!

08-12-2009, 07:12 PM
Well I was going to suggest running laps on a 1/4 track, try to shoot for a certain time and run it. Start at the mid straight and when you do a lap, walk to the other side and do it again.
Try for however many laps it would take to get to your mileage. Bitch of a workout but helps you get able to maintain a good pace.

Why only 2 miles though if you don't mind me asking?
Easier to train for a 5k I think.

work the lower abs/hip flexor muscles and calves. Youll feel the difference after a few weeks. Also, shoot for a maximum distance within 12 minutes, instead of trying to cover 2 miles in X time (12 mins). Its a lot more fun that way. I find running to be one of the most boring things you could possibly do though so that doesnt help me.

Ehh, I've been looking (already applied) at certain jobs and they require me to run those times. Well actually they require me to run slower, which I can do with no problem at this time, but I don't want to get by with just a minimum. Plus I might join the military in the near future, I hear they like to run a lot

Having a clear set distance, or course needed to be completed in X amount of time is much easier.

6 reps is enough to activate your muscle fibers. depends what you are going for really...some people do insane weight for just 3 reps to build up their strength.
and of course...i heard the #1 myth in working out that this kid SWEARS to. he goes: (and i quote) "i do 300 reps of curls with a 5 pound dumbell, im sculpting my biceps". i got a good laugh out of it..

Which fibers? A or B (Type I or Type II)?
The century workout is a bitch, and that works. So does the 5x5. As long as you are moving weight you will be doing something. Whether or not it's the RIGHT thing is a different story.

Its simple, the more reps will be more towards making the muscle more define, the less reps with more wieght on it, increase mass.

It takes longer than 12 hours for some of this stuff to clear. And by taking that amino acid supplement you were introducing the very enzymes they test for into your body artificially.
Do what you wish- but I'd go no sup for 3 weeks or so and then go for another test.

A lot of the guys at my gym will stare when you do curls or bench(only those 2) and will then do it right after you and try to kick the weight up. I cant stand that. Thats why i only lift weights at home now. I basically pay 20 bucks a month to use cardio machines and do lat pull downs

Ok, not sure how much I could dead lift, there is no free weights for bars.
But I have been doing the thing where its like a reverse curl, you lock your feet in and then lower your upper body down. I hold a ten pound weight and that usually gets my lower back nice and sore.
